We are collecting raffle items that will directly benefit the Free Art Collective during the Sweetheart Soirée.

 

The Free Art Collective (FAC) is a local grassroots collective - founded by Rochester local, Gabrielle Peck - of over 400 artists from around the world that distributes free artwork and art supplies, on a mission to make art accessible for all.  FAC also hosts community art events, art markets, gallery exhibits, music shows, poetry readings, and fundraisers for other causes. FAC uses the arts to fight for social justice causes such as: food and housing security, de-stigmatizing mental health, and elevating artists of color.

 

One of the FAC’s initiatives is Dad’s Macaroni, a pop-up soup kitchen that organizes potluck events with live music and art activities. The goal of the project is to destigmatize soup kitchens by providing the community an opportunity to congregate over free entertainment along with free food. Everyone deserves to enjoy free dinner and a show! The long term goal of Dad’s Macaroni is to open a chain of brick and mortar soup kitchens with free, fresh, made to order food. Each location will have a community room for open mics and art exhibits by local artists, as well as a food pantry. 

 

Jae[sic] Productions is delighted to be supporting Dad’s Macaroni with a raffle held at the Sweetheart Soirée, and we would love you to donate a prize or contribute directly! Example donations might include:

• Crafted items

• Food samples
