many big dreams.

Jaesic Wade (they/it) of jae[sic] productions is a multifaceted artist dedicated to expanding hearts, minds, and community.

events

At the heart of jae[sic] productions is, of course, the events Jaesic produces. Jaesic gained their expertise for production through their experience co-organizing multiple national dance weekender events over the past several years, and now they've turned inward toward Rochester and all its beauty. Rochester, NY is bursting at the seems with endless talent, creativity, and eagerness to make incredible things happen. Currently, Jaesic specializes in showcasing Rochester's diversity through thrillingly themed variety shows that are always followed with throwdowns on the dancefloor.

music

From one off projects, to organizing community jazz jams, to their bands Jae[sic] and the Baesics or the Jaesic Wade Trio, Jaesic lives in a world surrounded by music - and they wouldn't have it any other way. With a music teacher for a mother, music has been a part of their world since before they took their first breath. Now each year passes, and Jaesic learns more and more of who they are through the music they explore - be it through singing, playing a lick on any of the 7 instruments they play, or writing a song.

dance

Jaesic has been dancing since the moment they could walk. Though disability kept them from their original dream of being a ballerina or Broadway dancer, they never gave up hope of keeping movement in their life. Finally in college, a friend introduced them to Lindy Hop, and a new dream was born.

Now with over a decade of partner dancing under their belt, Jaesic enjoys touring the country to teach, DJ, organize, and work Access and Safety through their organization with Fen Lastra called Changeling Spaces for national partner dance weekender events. Most of these events are within the Fusion dancing world, but Jaesic does some work in the Blues, Swing, and Latin worlds too, and travels just to dance so many other styles. Right now their focus is in learning Brazilian Zouk, Bachata, and Urban Kiz better, while never losing sight and experience of their Lindy Hop, Blues, and Fusion.

While partner dancing is a huge part of Jaesic's life, they're also grateful for the moments of solo movement they've been able to explore over the years, and are excited to dive into the burlesque arts very soon!

art

Painting, photography, cinematography, other physical media - nothing is off limits to Jaesic. Put a utensil or camera in their hands, and see what magic happens. After reading about, and perhaps witnessing online or in person, their lifetime love affair with the arts, learning this fact is probably no surprise to you.

who. what. where. when. why.

Meet Jaesic F Wade

Jaesic (they/it) is based in their hometown of Rochester, NY. Outside of their many artistic pursuits, they are a nationally reaching professional coach - both executive and life - and have their own private coaching business. They are also a DEI practitioner with a focus on psychological safety culture in the workplace.

You've read how Jaesic has been singing and dancing since they could walk and talk, plays 7 instruments, travels the country to dance and teach, nationally engages with clients for their private coaching business as well as their work with partner Fen Lastra through their project, Changeling Spaces, and loves building community-oriented events, both at home and across the nation.

Jaesic is inspired and motivated by the magic that is created every time people come together with curiosity, courage, and compassion - or as they like to call it, the 3 C's. It is their lifelong goal to contribute as much as they can to those around them and empower others to do the same.

Other fun facts:

  • Their first successful band was in high school, called Nerds in Denial (who kept playing after Jaesic left for college and still play around town today)

  • They had a third band, called BlueJae and the Katz (a blues fusion jam band) that was just about to take off in Detroit, but then COVID struck

  • They have a deep appreciation for nature and an affinity for horses, dogs, snakes, and other critters

  • They are autistic with ADHD (AuDHD) and disabled by Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS)

  • Yes, their middle name is just the letter 'F'
